On September 13th, 2017, in response to disturbing recent events nationally and locally, the Village of Nassau Board of Trustees unanimously voted to adopt a resolution reaffirming the Village’s commitment to inclusivity and openness to ensure both that all residents and visitors feel welcome and to make clear that there is no room in Nassau for racism and hatred based upon race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity or sexual orientation. The Board also welcomes recommendations from all residents regarding appropriate steps the Village can take to underscore and strongly communicate the Village’s policy of openness and inclusivity. A copy of the resolution can be found at Village Hall as well as downloaded below.
