Created in 2011, the Police Survey Committee was charged with developing a survey to ascertain the opinion of Village residents regarding the Nassau Police Department. The Committee developed a brief survey that was distributed in January 2012. The survey was completed by more than 150 residents. The Committee developed a brief report on the survey in February 2012. The results of the survey were considered as the Nassau Police Department budget was set in 2012 and subsequent years.
