Recent Zoning Law Updates

One of the short-term recommendations of the recently adopted Village Masterplan was to review the Zoning law to make it consistent with the vision laid out in the Masterplan. To accomplish this task, in the Spring of 2018, Mayor Valenty appointed a committee of volunteers to review the current Zoning law and accessory parts of the Village code. To facilitate this effort, the Village also engaged a consultant, Community Planning and Environmental Associates, to assist the committee.

In November 2018, the Committee completed its work and submitted several edited and new sections of code to the Village Board of Trustees for their review.

On December 12, 2018 at 6:30pm at Village Hall, a summary of the changes were presented at a public meeting.

On January 9, 2019 at 6:00pm at Village Hall, public hearings were held on the changes.

On February 13, 2019, the Village Board unanimously voted to enact these changes at its regular monthly meeting.

Below, links to the new code sections and links to the old code are listed.
